Sonopia Overview

Sonopia provides branded mobile phone service and social networking for organizations, groups, clubs, sports teams, educational institutions and individuals. It offers an innovative mobile and online experience-a customized on-the-go community built around the subscriber's world.

Designed for easy setup and maintenance, an affinity can create a branded community, referred to as a "Sonopia", that offers branded mobile service. This service instantly connects an organization, group or club with its most powerful resource - its members and supporters. By creating a Sonopia, an affinity can deliver news, information and alerts directly to members via their phones. Plus an affinity's members can create and access personal blogs, profiles, contact lists, photo sharing and more.

Privacy Principles

Internet technology and wireless communications are changing the way all companies do business - and changing the way they collect and use information about their customers. Used responsibly, that information can help companies serve customers better. At Sonopia, however, we realize that advances in Internet Technology and wireless communications technology, bring growing concerns - by customers and policymakers - about how customer information is used and shared.

We put customers first. Sonopia is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of online and wireless communications privacy. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy, and we require companies we do business with to protect your privacy too. We work diligently to create a safe and secure online community for our participating members and organizations. If you have any questions regarding our privacy policy, please email privacypolicy@sonopia.com

Information Collection and Use

Sonopia collects user-submitted information such as name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to their branded mobile service. Sonopia also collects other profile data including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, education, and occupation in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other.

To enrich members' experience, some personal information is requested and put on display to other members and visitors. Sonopia members can change their profile information at any time and can control how other members, other branded communities, referred to as "Sonopias", and the service communicates with them.

User Profile information including pictures and names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the Sonopia social networking community. Email addresses and mobile phone numbers are used for the purposes of inviting people to join your friends list, to deliver exclusive content from your selected Sonopias, and to send notifications regarding your branded mobile service.

A user's selected Sonopias will use an email address to send updates, information, notifications and content.

From time to time, Sonopia.com or a selected Sonopia may sponsor a promotion, sweepstakes or contest on Sonopia.com. Users may be asked to provide personal information including name, email address or home address or to answer questions in order to participate. Sonopia may transfer personal information to certain partners that you have explicitly requested to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.

The personal information Sonopia obtains about individual users to our websites is information the user supplies voluntarily. Sonopia may collect personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, postal address) and/or third party personally identifiable information through its website. In some situations, such as when you order a product or service online, Sonopia will collect billing information, such as your credit card number and billing address, and we may be required to transmit this information to third party suppliers, like our credit processing company, for the purpose of processing the transaction you have requested. This information will be used solely for the specific transaction and will be transmitted securely and in keeping with industry best practices.
