Up until not so long ago it was safest to say "Denmark" when people asked "where are you from." This is my first time in an Arab country after the Mohammad drawings. Realized today

After breakfast at the rooftop at the Riad, spent the day exploring the Gueliz area of Marrakesh, followed by the North part of the Medina and the Souk. The latter is chaotic, to say the least.

I just arrived in Marrakech. Bustling scene, unusual smells, smoke from BBQs, snake charmers, mint salesmen and a distinctly Arabic culture. I uploaded a set of photos, best viewed in full size...

Went to the beach today, in spite of rain, wind and (for California) low temeratures. Henry was surprised by a wave and was sure at least two fish swam into his boots :-)

Chilling: Ground Zero

While in NY yesterday I had an interview at a building adjacent to the site where the Twin Towers stood. It was chilling to arrive there. Haven't been there since before 9/11.
